Pago Florentino is a prestigious Spanish wine produced in the La Mancha region, which is one of the most popular and largest wine regions in the world. It is made by the Bodegas y Viñedos Familia Belmonte winery, a family-owned winery with a rich history.
Pago Florentino is a single-varietal wine made from 100% Cencibel (a clone of the Tempranillo grape) grown in the Pago Florentino estate, hence its name. This wine is not only known for its quality but also for its impeccable character. It is a mature and expressive wine, with a rich depth of flavour, full body, and a long, dry finish.
The wine exhibits an intense ruby red color with purple reflections and offers a complex nose with prominent notes of wild berries, spice, and balsamic, underpinned by hints of vanilla from oak aging. It boasts a powerful and lasting taste in the mouth with balanced acidity.
It is an excellent companion to a variety of meals, including game dishes, red meats, or mature cheese. This wine is recommended to be decanted before serving and consumed at a temperature of around 16-18°C.
